Huawei Stelato S9T Wagon Debuts with Futuristic Design

Stelato S9T station wagon in Wonderland Green

Huawei’s automotive arm, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), has officially pulled the cover off its first-ever station wagon—the Stelato S9T. This premium new energy vehicle (NEV) will launch in China this fall and sets a bold precedent for EV design and functionality. It arrives dressed in an eye-catching Wonderland Green paint and features cutting-edge design elements such as nebula-style taillights, lidar sensors, and Huawei’s proprietary Qiankun ADS autonomous driving platform.

The Stelato S9T marks a significant expansion in HIMA’s luxury vehicle lineup, extending the Stelato brand beyond sedans into the rarefied territory of electric station wagons. Based on the existing Stelato S9 sedan, the S9T maintains a low-slung aerodynamic profile while enhancing versatility and storage with its elongated wagon body. Chrome trim lines the windows, discreet door handles emphasize airflow, and multi-spoke alloy wheels offer a sporty, elegant touch.

Huawei’s signature “Galaxy headlights” lead the front, while the rear is dominated by a glowing light bar with a nebula motif, reinforcing its futuristic aesthetic. Roof rails and visible lidar modules placed on the fenders and top edges indicate the presence of high-level autonomous features—all powered by Huawei’s next-gen Qiankun ADAS system, which supports highway navigation and smart city driving.

Under the hood, the S9T will likely mirror the powertrain options of its sedan sibling. That includes battery-electric versions with a capacity up to 100 kWh, offering an estimated CLTC range of 721 to 816 km. Additionally, EREV (extended-range electric vehicle) variants are expected, pushing total range figures past 1,200 km, ideal for long-distance drivers who still want EV benefits without range anxiety.

Interior details remain under wraps, but if the S9 sedan is any indicator, expect a minimalistic, tech-forward cabin with high-resolution displays, intelligent voice controls, and HarmonyOS-powered infotainment.

Huawei’s push into the NEV market reflects its ambition to become a top-tier mobility player in China and abroad. The Stelato S9T is positioned not only as a technological showcase but also as a lifestyle vehicle—merging practicality, innovation, and bold styling in a form factor few EV makers are targeting today.

As interest in premium EV wagons begins to grow, especially among urban families and tech-savvy professionals, the Stelato S9T could carve a new niche and stand out from the SUV-heavy competition. More details about its official launch, pricing, and features are expected to emerge closer to its release this fall.
